Life isn’t always easy, is it?

We all need support time to time. Sometimes the support we need is someone with insights on our psychological, social and relational health.

I’m so glad we continue to breakdown the stigma around mental health care, because there is no health without mental health. It really does need to become a normative health care activity to chat with a professional about our stressors and struggles.

I’ve always had a passion to help people toward hope, health and healing. I believe it is a privilege it is to sit alongside someone and witness their pain, struggles, and joys.

As a therapist, my role is to support you in developing or regaining your sense of wellness. Together we set goals, we engage in collaborative dialogue and we decide on the appropriate therapeutic approach for you. It is also important that we identify your own inner resources that can bring insight, healing, and change.

Our therapeutic conversations may include building self-awareness, processing old or new wounds, and developing coping skills. You may gain insights in areas such as: beliefs, thoughts, feelings, memories, behaviours, communication styles, and relationships.

I strive to bring down to earth, compassionate and skillful services to those who are open to taking a look inward (self), taking a look around (environment), and taking a look in-between (relationships).

Kristy holds a M.A. in Professional Counselling and is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I have experience serving in health agencies, schools boards, the private sector, as well as faith communities.
